Shirihachi Castle (尻八館 Shirihachi-date) is a mountain castle in the eastern part of the Tsugaru Peninsula. Although it has an unusual name, it is said that it was initially called Shiripolo-chashi (シリポロチャシ), built by the Ainu people ("Chashi" means a castle in the Ainu language). It has not been confirmed that this mountain castle is Shirihachi Castle, and it is more correct to call it presumed Shirihachi Castle (伝尻八館 Den-Shirihachi-date).
